Regulating to build trust in phone-paid services
PhonepayPlus (previously known as ICSTIS) regulates premium rate (or phone-paid) services in the UK. These are the premium rate goods and services that you can buy by charging the cost to your phone bill and pre-pay account.
Charities, voluntary organisations and community groups rely on the generosity of people like you for much of the money that funds their work. giveonthemobile® is registered with PhonepayPlus - for more information visit the web site below.
For the purpose of donating using giveonthemobile® the following premium rate numbers 7009 for a £1 donation, 7007 for a £3 donation and 70800 for a £5 donation are used.
PhonepayPlus focus on pre-empting and preventing problems – the key, we believe, to effective long-term consumer protection.
PhonepayPlus regulate services using our Code of Practice. This sets out the rules with which all providers of premium rate services must comply.
